We provide following treatments:
Abyangam
A whole body massage with specific lukewarm herbal oils in which strokes are given according to the needs for about 45 -60 minutes to nourish and revitalize the body tissue and to allow the toxins to be removed from the cells. Abyangam achieves deepest healing effects by naturally harmonizing body, mind and spirit. This is very good for the general health of the skin and prevents early aging and relieves muscular aches and pain. It reduces the stress and improves sleep.
Dhanyamla dhara
Dhanyamla Dhara is a special type of Dhara treatment in which warm herbal liquid is poured all over the body in a rhythmic way through a special vessel for 1 hour daily for 7 to 14 days. It is good for hemiplegia, paralysis, rheumatic complaints and vatha predominant diseases etc.
Dhara
It is a process by which a continuous stream of herbal oils, medicated milk, buttermilk etc are allowed to pour on the forehead in a special method for about 45 minutes to 90 minutes in a period of 7 to 21 days. Generally sirodhara is good for all ailments. It deeply relaxes and revitalizes the central nervous system. This treatment is good for insomnia, vatha predominated diseases, mental disorders, memory loss and certain skin diseases and eye diseases.
Kadee vasti
In this process specially prepared warm medicated oil is kept inside the lower back with herbal paste boundary. This treatment lasts for 45 minutes to 1 hour and it is good for any type of lower back pain and spinal disorders.
Kizhi
Herbal leaves and herbs or herbal powders are applied to the whole body in boluses with hot medicated oils for 45 minutes per day for a period of 7 to 14 days. This treatment is for Osteoarthritis Arthritis with swelling, Spondilosis, sports injuries, lumbago, sciatica etc.
Ksheera dhoomam
A fomentation process with medicated cow milk that helps in treating facial paralysis and speech disorders, cervical spondylosis, spastic disorders and neurological problems. In this treatment medicated milk is heated and the steam is passed over the face and tongue for a period of 7-14 days.
Lepanam/Upanaham
This is a process by which warm medicated herbal paste is applied on the affected part of the body .It is Very useful for various types of inflammatory and spastic conditions, the therapy is for 90 minutes to 2 hours per day for 7 to 14 days.
Nasyam
Drops of medicated oil or herbal juice are administered in each nostril of the patient for about 7-14 days. This treatment eliminates the toxins from the head and neck region and is useful in curing headaches, migraine, sinusitis, chronic cold, chest congestion, cervical spondylosis and Facial Palsy. It assures lightness of the body and head ensures better sleep.
Njavara kizhi
Navarakizhi is also one of the special forms of treatment widely practiced in Kerala. The body is made to perspire well through massage with puddings in the form of boluses tied up in cloth bags. Specially cooked rice tied up in boluses are warmed in a mixture of Balamoola Kasaya and cow’s milk and massaged over the body with adequate pressure and movements as required for the patient. The pressure forces out the contents of boluses. The boluses are rewarmed and applied again and again till the Kashaya and contents of the boluses would have been entirely used up.
Pizhichil
Here lukewarm medicated oil is applied on the body of the patient lying on the "Dharapathi" by two masseurs in a special rhythmic style for about 60 -90 minutes per day for a period of 7-14 days. Oil dipped pieces of cloth are squeezed by hand and the oils rubbed smoothly over the body of the patient by masseurs on either side. The medicated oil is pressed out of the cloth uniformly over the body at a defined height and massaged by skillful hands.
Sirovasthi
In Sirovasti, medicated oil is made to stand on the patient’s head for specific periods. The oil is contained in a
close-fitting leather cap, made leak proof with black-gram powder. Constant temperature conditions are maintained throughout.
This treatment is indicated for loss of tactile sensation, facial paralysis, sleeplessness, dryness of nostrils and throat, increased
intraocular pressure, severe chronic headache Multiple sclerosis, parkinsonism etc.
Thalam
Special herbal powder mixed with medicated oil and then slightly warmed and applied on the top of the head for 15 – 40 minutes. This treatment is good for Insomnia, migraine, hypertension etc
Tharpanam
In this process, we keep the medicated Ghee in the eyes for 15-30 minutes within a herbal paste boundary for about 7-14 days. It is a cleaning process of the eyes which gives cooling effects, prevents cataract and strengthens the optic nerve.
Udwarthanam
Special herbal powders are massaged in a special way for 30 - 45 minutes every day for 7 to 28 days. This is considered very well in reducing over weight (obesity) and controlling cholesterol of the body. It also strengthens muscles and tightens loose skin.
Vasthi
In Ayurvedic treatments, especially in panchakarma the role of vasthi is having a very important place in treating many health disorders. Certain oils or herbal juice applied through rectum daily for a period of 5 to 25 days. This treatment is for Arthritis, Paralysis, Hemipllegia, Numbness, Gastric complaints associated with Rheumatism and constant Constipation. It purifies the body, maintains health and longevity.
